Do I have to be “licensed” to provide BSFT?

No, a license is not required to practice BSFT. To understand why a license is not required, it is critical to distinguish between a professional license and a contractual license.

A professional license refers to a government-administered process that must be completed to practice a profession. For example, to practice medicine in Florida, a physician must be professionally licensed by the Florida Department of Health. As relates to BSFT, there is no such government-administered or authoritative professional licensing process or organization.

A contractual license, on the other hand, is a contract used by some private organizations to charge fees and royalties for the use of a program or other “intellectual property” offered by that organization. A contractual license is not required by any government organization to practice in BSFT training.
